This quasi-experimental research aimed to study the effects of a safety promotion program for employees of a plastic product factory. The sample consisted of 60 employees, divided into an experimental group of 30 and a comparison group of 30. The experimental group received the safety promotion program, while the comparison group received knowledge from routine program. Data were collected before and after the experiment using questionnaires. Data were analyzed using statistics of frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, Paired sample's t-test, and Independent t-test. The results of the research found that the average scores of knowledge, attitude, motivation to prevent work accidents, self-efficacy, and accident prevention behavior before the experiment between the experimental and comparison groups of the employees of a plastic product factory were not significantly different (p>0.05). However, after the experiment, the experimental group had a higher average score in all the above mentioned variables than before the experiment and higher than the comparison group with statistical significance (p<0.001). In the comparison group, after the experiment, the average scores in all the above mentioned variables were significantly higher than before the experiment (p<0.001). The results of the research indicate that this safety promotion program can effectively develop knowledge, attitude, motivation, self-efficacy and accident prevention behavior in work. Therefore, it should be applied in other plastic product factories.en_US
