Abstract: In the era of digital disruption, Thailand’s educational administration system faces significant challenges arising from the rapid advancement of digital technologies and structural changes that impact management models and processes. To respond effectively to this evolving context, administrative approaches must be adapted. One of the key strategic tools is Artificial Intelligence (AI), which plays a critical role in enhancing efficiency, accuracy, and speed in administration, strategic decision-making, data-driven educational quality improvement, instructional management, monitoring and evaluation, and systematic personnel management. This article examines the role of AI in Thai educational administration amid these changes, focusing on both the opportunities and limitations of AI implementation as well as strategies for preparing educational administrative systems. The findings reveal that adopting AI can substantially improve administrative efficiency; however, it also presents challenges related to personnel, infrastructure, and ethical considerations that require careful attention. The article proposes readiness strategies emphasizing personnel skill development, data system enhancement, and the establishment of governance policies to ensure the effective, sustainable, and socially responsible use of AI in education.
