Abstract: | This research aimed to develop herbal tea products suitable for the elderly by applying the Social Engineering Process. Key informants included elderly individuals aged 60 years and above, who were students at the “Tho Phu Thao” Elderly School, Phetchabun Municipality. The study was divided into two groups: Group 1 involved seven elderly participants who provided historical insights into the community using the “Development Timeline” tool. Group 2 consisted of 50 elderly participants, whose daily routines were explored using the “Chronobiological Clock.” Data were analyzed through content analysis to synthesize key needs, perspectives, and ideas that contributed to health product development. The results revealed that the Social Engineering Process facilitated the co-creation of herbal tea prototypes using ginger, lemon, chrysanthemum, and pandan leaves. These products reflected both the health needs and cultural preferences of the elderly. The collaborative process empowered elderly participants, students, and academic staff, fostering intergenerational learning and community engagement. The developed tea products show potential for further development as local health innovations for aging societies. |
