Abstract: This article’s purpose is to use the concept of representation to analyze how crime, which related to online space, is portrayed in Alina’s Thai cozy mystery Kewalin 10, which was originally published in 2022. The result demonstrates that this text portrays the crime which related to online space, where the illusion of truth exists, in three ways: victim subrogation for the purpose of creating a false identity online, boosting engagement and revenue from fictitious relationships that are represented online, and fictitious relationships that are connected to real-world crime. In conclusion, Kewalin 10 represents the issue of ambiguity and doubt surrounding the truth in digital world during the post-truth era, which has an impact on people’s emotions and behavior in society.
