Abstract: | This research aims to study: 1) the production process of the program "Zero Budget" on the YouTube channel of Rameu Studio; 2) the content production strategies of "Zero Budget" that influence viewer popularity and engagement; and 3) the impact of using low-cost production methods on content quality. The "Zero Budget" program is a quantitative research study. The population includes the production team of the "Zero Budget" program and viewers of the program. The sample size consists of 100 viewers. A questionnaire was used as the data collection tool. The data was analyzed using mean and standard deviation. The findings revealed that: 1) The production process of "Zero Budget" includes editing (which requires the most time and resources), filming, content planning, and promotion. The program adopts low-cost production methods such as minimizing production expenses, creating a unique identity, and reducing reliance on external resources. 2) The content production strategies that influence popularity and viewer engagement include active audience interaction (e.g., comments and shares), simple and easy-to-understand presentation, and the use of low-budget strategies that enhance both program appeal and viewer participation. Audience participation is encouraged through content that motivates likes, comments, shares, and engagement in campaign-based activities. 3) The use of low-cost production has not negatively affected content quality. On the contrary, it results in creative content and contributes to a sense of authenticity and relatability for viewers. Viewers perceive "Zero Budget" as a sincere and unpretentious program that delivers entertainment without the need for expensive sets or equipment, primarily accessed via YouTube. |
