Abstract: | This research uses a participatory action research model. (Participatory Action Research: PAR) aims to 1) to study community participation in waste management according to the 3Rs 2) to develop a model of community participation in waste management according to the 3Rs 3) to study the effectiveness of the community participation model in solid waste management according to the 3Rs principle of Village No. 7, Ban Thap Jark, Thung Krabue Subdistrict Yan Ta Khao District Trang Province. The participation were 72 stakeholders and the sample group used in the effectiveness study was 44 representatives of households who did not pass the assessment criteria for clean house in solid waste management. The research instrument were participation model in solid waste management according to the 3Rs using a period of 8 weeks, participation questionnaires, Knowledge, Attitude, Behaviors related to solid waste management according to the 3Rs questionnaires and in-depth interview. The content validity of the questionnaire was between .67-1.00. Data were analyzed using statistics, frequency distribution, percentage, mean and standard deviation, Paired Samples t-test. Wilcoxon signed Rang test and content analysis (Content Analysis) The research results showed that the level of community participation in waste management according to the 3Rs was at a high level (4.05 ± 0.29). The community participation model consists of 4 steps: In the decision-making process there are community forums and focus groups. In the implementation, including activities to provide knowledge on solid waste management according to the 3Rs principle, DIY eco bags, making bio-fermented water and clean house contest. In receiving the benefits include people who have gained knowledge from participating in training activities on waste management, get a solid waste management model and have better waste management behavior according to the 3Rs principle. In the evaluation includes: Follow-up on the performance of waste segregation follow-up according to the 3Rs principle and waste logging. The results of using the model showed that mean scores of knowledges, attitudes and behaviors about waste management according to the 3Rs after using the model were higher than before using the model. with statistical significance at the 0.01 level. And the amount of all 4 types of solid waste was reduced than before before using the model. Statistically significant at the 0.01 level. |
