The Tourism Promotion Application of Photharam District, Ratchaburi Province with the Augmented Reality Technology

Abstract

The purposes of the research were 1) to develop the Tourism Promotion Application of Photharam District, Ratchaburi Province with the Augmented Reality Technology, 2) to evaluate the Tourism Promotion Application of Photharam District, Ratchaburi Province with the Augmented Reality Technology, and 3) to study tourist satisfaction on the Tourism Promotion Application of Photharam District, Ratchaburi Province with the Augmented Reality Technology. The sample used in this research was 60 Thai tourists who came to travel in Photharam District, Ratchaburi Province. This research was developed by System Development Life Cycle (SDLC). The application development tools include Unity, C#, Google Sketchup, Visual Studio, Android Studio, Vegas, and Vuforia. The statistics used in the research were mean and standard deviation. The research findings showed that: 1) the results of the Tourism Promotion Application of Photharam District, Ratchaburi Province with the Augmented Reality Technology consists of brochure, label, and marker for displaying information in the form of augmented reality technology, 2) the quality evaluation from experts who gave opinions on the Tourism Promotion Application of Photharam District, Ratchaburi Province with the Augmented Reality Technology at the high level ( 􀂚􀴤=4.42, S.D.=0.51) and 3) the target group was satisfied with the application at a high level (􀂚􀴤 =4.36, S.D.=0.56)
