dc.description.abstract | This cross-sectional descriptive study aimed to identify hazards, assess occupational risks within a cassava starch manufacturing factory. The research instruments employed in this study included a hazard identification and risk assessment form, utilizing the Job Safety Analysis (JSA) methodology. The study was conducted on a sample of 30 employees. Data was analyzed using descriptive statistics. The outcomes of the hazard identification and risk assessment activities encompassed four job tasks: cassava starch receiving and unloading, cassava starch packaging, sack warehouse operations, and grinding processes. The results of the risk identification and assessment activities of 4 jobs found a total of 58 risk items, most of which were at an acceptable level, 34 items (58.62%), and minor risks, 24 items (41.38%). No high risks and unacceptable risks were found. When the risk assessment results were classified by risk type, it was found that the risk issue with the highest chance of occurrence was workers being exposed to chemical and physical risk factors (dust, heat, noise, light). | en_US |
