Abstract: | This article aims to study the concept of creative economy in Thailand and to synthesize the concept of creative economy and creative product development of Lao Khrang ethnic group in Nakhon Pathom Province. The results of the study found that 1. The concept of “Creative Economy” is a concept that drives the Thai economy on the basis of local cultural identity, focusing on adding value, creating value, promoting the ability to create products and products from Thai communities that have potential to compete. The difference in products makes them stand out and become even more demanding in the global market. The creative economy creates jobs, generates income and improves the quality of life for people in the country. The creative economy focuses on balanced and sustainable development in terms of cultural diversity and cultural heritage, such as Thai traditional medicine and traditional handicrafts in fabrics and fabric products that can be developed in a creative way. 2. Applying the concept of creative economy as a basis for the development of creative products of the Lao Khrang ethnic group, Nakhon Pathom province by transferring knowledge and technology about the creative economy concept to product manufacturers in the Lao Khrang community. The manufacturer has developed creative products into new products, namely: 1. Health enhancing products. 2. Natural color hand-woven fabric products 3. Teen Jok woven fabric products. All 3 products are accepted by people in the community resulting in creating jobs and generating income for the community. |
