Abstract: | The objectives of this research were to: 1) reading behavior and reading problems of students at The Demonstration School of Nakhon Pathom Rajabhat University; and 2) comparing of reading problems of students at The Demonstration School of Nakhon Pathom Rajabhat University divided by gender and grade level. The samples were 257 students at The Demonstration School of Nakhon Pathom Rajabhat University in the academic year 1/2020. The research instrument was questionnaires. The statistics used for data analysis were percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test and one-way ANOVA. The results of this research showed that: 1) Most students read 1-3 days a week. The reading duration is approximately 30 minutes-1 hour, 1-2 books per week. They like to read before going to bed, like to read at home and like to read the printed books. Most of them read the exam preparation guide in order to increase knowledge and develop oneself. 2) The students had overall reading problems at a moderate level. With the most problems are in the field of libraries and educational institutions. Due to the lack of reading habit encouragement, there are no reading activities promotions, and 3) The students of different genders and grades had no overall reading problems. |
