Increasing Efficiency of Store Warehouse Management A Case Study of ABC Company Limited

Abstract

This research aim to increasing efficiency of the store warehouse department by improve the layout of the warehouse and help warehouse staff to fine the inventory in the warehouse more quickly. This research studied the information about staff workings time and found problem in time management in finding the inventory. The researcher analyzes the cause of storage problems and time spent for finding the inventory. Next, create a store layout map by using Microsoft Excel to collect inventory code information and using visual control by create the symbol indicating the location of the inventory and code label that are easy to see. Before the improvement, staffs spent time of 11 minutes and 37 seconds while After improving can reduce the time to 6 minutes and 52 seconds. Therefore the average operating time is reduced by 40.89% which results increased work efficiency
