Abstract: This research aims to 1) study the information-seeking behavior of students at Nakhon Pathom Rajabhat University in using AI tools, and 2) study the utilization of AI tools in information-seeking. This quantitative research utilized questionnaires to collect data from a sample of 400 students using stratified random sampling. Data were analyzed using statistical software to determine percentages, means, and standard deviations. The research findings revealed. Regarding AI tool usage behavior The majority of the sample were male (59.0%) and second-year students (50.5%). While many had never used AI (27.0%), active users typically engaged with it 1-2 times per week (24.5%). ChatGPT was the most popular tool (45.0%), primarily used for language translation (30.3%). Furthermore, students exhibited a hybrid usage pattern, often using AI alongside other information sources (36.0%). Regarding the utilization of AI tools Overall utilization was at a high level. The most significant benefits were faster information retrieval (mean 4.35) and increased technological reliance (mean 4.28). Although trust in AI-generated information was high, it received the lowest average score (mean 4.05). In conclusion, the research indicates that students have adopted a hybrid information-seeking behavior, prioritizing speed while remaining cautious about data accuracy.
