Abstract: Occupational safety is a fundamental aspect that cannot be overlooked, especially in high-risk occupations such as industrial and construction work. Helmets are crucial in protecting the head from injury. However, the standards and quality of helmets used in Thailand currently vary widely. This research compares the helmet standards for industrial and construction work in various countries, including the European Union, the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, China, and Thailand. The study found that all countries prioritize strength, impact absorption, penetration resistance, flame resistance, and electrical protection. Some standards also include requirements for chin straps, headband, ventilation, and environmental durability. Current Thai helmet standards cover only some requirements compared to other countries. For example, protection direction only specifies protection against top-down impacts, while other standards such as ANSI/ISEA and CSA include both top-down and side impact protection. Therefore, developing Thai standards should include requirements for helmet design to withstand environments, be comfortable, and have good ventilation when worn
