The Tai Lue are a prominent ethnic group residing in the Lanchang River basin, whose way of life is closely intertwined with Buddhist teachings and traditional beliefs in the Naga. Their distinctive cultural identity is most evident in their traditional attire, especially wedding costumes, which embody local values, beliefs, and indigenous wisdom passed down through generations. This qualitative study aims to examine the forms and symbolic meanings of wedding attire in Tai Lue marriage traditions in Xishuangbanna, utilizing academic articles, research papers, books, and reputable online sources as primary data. The findings indicate that Tai Lue wedding costumes have adapted to contemporary social contexts, as seen in the increasing use of white fabrics, the incorporation of decorative motifs beyond the traditional swan pattern, and the addition of modern accessories such as brooches. These changes reflect the dynamic nature of Tai Lue culture and their capacity for adaptation, while still preserving the essential values of their traditional customs.en_US
