The Scriptwriting Style of Rameau Studio's YouTube Channel in the Context of Digital Media

Abstract

This research aims to study: 1.The scriptwriting style of Rameau Studio's YouTube channel in the context of digital media. 2. The adaptation of the script to align with YouTube's platform and viewer behavior. 3. The factors affecting the scriptwriting of Rameau Studio's YouTube channel in the digital age.This qualitative research used a sample of 3 individuals, including content producers and scriptwriters from Rameau Studio, who were selected from the team with experience in scriptwriting and content production for YouTube channels. In-depth interviews were used to collect data, and content analysis using a thematic framework was applied for data analysis. The results of the study found that: 1) The scriptwriting style of Rameau Studio’s YouTube channel in the context of digital media: The scriptwriting process at Rameau Studio blends a clear structure with creativity in presentation and attention to technical elements like camera angles and shooting locations. All of these maintain the "Rameau" identity, which focuses on fun and smiles for the viewers. 2) Adapting the script to align with YouTube’s platform and viewer behavior: The adaptation of scripts by the Rameau Studio team is not only about writing techniques but also about a deep understanding of viewer behavior. The team adjusts their storytelling strategies to align with YouTube’s algorithm and meet the current demands of the audience. 2) Factors affecting scriptwriting for Rameau Studio’s YouTube channel in the digital age: The factors affecting scriptwriting include: Laws and regulations: The PDPA law requires permission from individuals in public places for filming, which slows down the filming process and requires more caution compared to earlier times without such regulations.Adapting content to YouTube’s algorithm: Adjusting video length and increasing engagement to meet the preferences of viewers, who now enjoy longer and more engaging content. Responding to audience comments: Viewer interaction through comments plays a key role in improving scripts.Changes in viewer behavior: Viewers in the digital age prefer longer, more entertaining content, prompting content creators to adapt the format accordingly.Building a channel identity: Maintaining the channel's identity while also adapting content to meet the preferences of viewers and emerging trends.
