dc.description.abstract | Although much of the current conception of comedy and humor is based on its value as an entertainment, give laughter and release from stress. But after studying the jokes and humor of the author from Thai and foreign research, it was found that definition or determination of meaning as well as their roles and responsibilities, there is still a lot of ambiguity. It varies according to paradigm and perspective on humor or the social context that surrounds that humor makes the impact on the study of humor also ambiguous. This academic article collects concepts of humor from a number of philosophers and theorists who have discussed humor. The author found that the concept of comedy and humor can be separated into defining and defining humor The role of humor The language of humor strategies for creating a sense of humor and approach for the study of humor meaning and definition of humor is highly related to the time period and social context. It shows the evolution of the meaning of humor since humor is the opposite of sadness. It is a process of mental liberation to being a mirror reflecting changes and conflicts in society. The role of humor was found to be related to the conversation context. both in the context of general conversation or in the context of a conversation between a group of close friends. The role of humor is to act as a tool for measuring emotions to the duty of social punishment or even the duty to control another person. The linguistic aspect of humor has been found to be associated with abnormality or difference from normality. Humor is the act of making the grammar of a language unusual and classifies the use of language to convey humor into 9 types, Pun, Quip, Double Entendre, Anecdote, Satire, Parody, Rigmarole, Epigram, and Nonsense Verse. The strategy aspect of creating humor can be explained by the comedy ladder. It divides jokes into two different types of humor including Farce and Parody. In terms of methods for studying humor was found that The study approaches can be classified according to the perspective on humor which is related to the time period and era in 6 approaches, the era of humor is laughter, humor is the body's mechanism for reducing tension, the era of humor is one of incompatibility superiority and liberation, humor is a kind of mental process, the era of humor is about social integration, and the era of humor is the discourse that comedian creates. | en_US |
