Abstract: Relapse in Opioid dependence patients among Methadone Maintenances Therapy is one of the important public health problems. Although Opioid dependence is not the most numerous problem, Opioids intoxication is the most hazardous effect. This article describes the importance of Opioid cultivation, the definition of relapse, causes and factors related to opioid relapse among Methadone treated patients, the effect of recurrent relapse, harm reduction policy, and suggestion. Therefore, challenging for the psychiatric nurse to develop nursing innovation for providing Opioid-dependent patients with holistic care.
