Abstract: | The purpose of this research 1) to study knowledge and understanding of social security benefits of the insurers, and 2) to study guidelines for promoting social security benefits of the insurers. It is descriptive research. The sample group was 377 insured persons of Social Security Office Nakhon Pathom. Data analysis using statistics for frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation and content analysis. The results of the study showed that most insurers have a high level of knowledge and understanding about social security benefits in descending order as follows: benefits for replacing old age, benefits for compensation in the event of danger or illness, social security fund, benefits for compensation in the event of disability, social security fund contribution, compensation benefits in the case of child welfare, being an insurer, benefits for unemployment compensation, benefits for replacement in case of childbirth should increase the recovery period of the insured person who has just given birth and provide various benefits related to children, and benefit in case of death. The guidelines for promoting social security benefits of the insured persons in each area are as follows: 1) benefits for replacing old age should be extended the period for benefits and increased compensation, 2) benefit for compensation in the event of danger or illness should receive higher benefits and take care of helping insured persons who are in an accident immediately, 3) social security fund should bring money into the fund sufficient to the needs of the insurer and provide opportunities for employees who have been discharged from work to have the right to send money into the fund to bring money into the fund appropriately, 4) benefits for compensation in the event of disability should be paid according to the fact that occurred and extended the period of receiving compensation accordingly, 5) social security fund contribution should extend the period of the insured person's lack of remittance and support the subsidy in the event of incidents such as the COVID-19 epidemic, 6) compensation benefits in the case of child welfare should increase the use of child benefit benefits and provide benefits for the insured's child, 7) being an insured person should be covered from work and to be voluntary insurer, 8) benefits for unemployment compensation should find a career for self-sufficient and increase unemployment benefits by raising money for the insurer, 9) benefits for replacement in case of childbirth, and 10) benefit in case of death should be paid to the family as appropriate and provide fair heirs assistance. |
