The Evaluation of The Development Project of The Caddie’s Operation Skills and Communication Skills for Support Phang-nga Sports Tourism

Abstract

The purposes of this research were to 1) evaluate the development project of the caddie’s operation and communication skills for supporting Phang-nga sports tourism by CIPPIEST Model and 2) describe the problems and suggestions in the operation of “The Development Project of The Caddie’s Operation and Communication Skills for Supporting Phang-nga Sports Tourism”. The research sample consisted of 92 persons. The research instruments were 1) the structured questionnaires, and 2) the structured interviews form. The data obtained from questionnaires was analyzed by percentage, mean, standard deviation and the data from interviewing was analyzed by content analysis and presented in descriptive style. Research findings showed that 1) evaluation results of context, input, process, product, impact, effectiveness and sustainable were at high level except, the evaluation result of transportation was at average level. The ways to promote knowledge transfering are developing and increasing the channel of exchanging information among the network of caddies, golf players or golf athletes and the golf course entrepeneurs for extracting tacit knowledge and using the knowledge gained to modernized operation skill of the caddies for matching needs of golf players and entrepreneurs which supporting caddie’s continuous improvement
