Abstract: | This descriptive research was to study the quality of working life of professional nurses at private hospitals in the metropolitan area and classified by personal factors, sample consisted 74 professional nurses, divided into 3 groups: nurse manager, chief nurse, and registered nurse, working in 4 private hospitals in the metropolitan area. The research instrument included a questionnaire consisting of 2 parts : personal information and quality of work life of professional nurses. The Cronbach’s alpha coefficiency of the questionnaire was 0.94. The data was analyzed by distribution of frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation. The research results were as follow: 1. Most of the respondents were female, less than 30 years old, single, had a bachelor's degree or equivalent, held less than 5 years’ work experience, had monthly income of 30,001 baht or more and held the position of registered nurses, respectively. 2. Overall, the quality of working life of the sample was at a good level. When considering the quality of work life in each aspect, the highest average mean scores at a good level were revealed with the social integration, followed by the development of human abilities, and the lowest mean score was adequate and fair compensation respectively. |
