Abstract: The study aims to analyze the microbial quality of drinking water samples from drinking water vending machines by collecting samples in 4 sites around Nakhon Pathom Rajabhat University. Total bacteria were analyzed using Total viable count (TVC). The samples were collected from the drinking water vending machine via 2 methods including without cleaning the water supply head and cleaning the water supply head. The results showed that the 4 samples of drinking water were contaminated with total microbes in the range of 0.14 ± 5.27 - 0.45 ± 17.36 x 102 CFU/ml. 2 samples without cleaning the water supply head sample (Site 2 and Site 4) showed total bacteria higher than standard (500 CFU/ml). Site 1 and Site 3 showed total microbial counts not more than the standard 500 CFU/ml. To cleaning the water supply head, by using 70 % alcohol showed that all samples were not more than the standard 500 CFU/ml. The results from this study found that drinking water samples from drinking water samples from drinking water vending machines have reached the microbiology standard criteria.
