Aging society in ASEAN : The crisis that Thailand must prepare.

Abstract

One of the most obvious changes in the world population is the age structure of the population that has an increasing number of elderly people while the birth rate declined. This phenomenon is called "Aged society" which many countries in the world have advanced into an aging society. Some countries are stepping into an aging society completely and there are predictions that the country will step into the super-aging society soon. By changing the proportion of the population of various age groups, this can be a measure of competitiveness and the important economic potential for the country. Therefore, is considered an issue that Challenging and necessary for the 10 countries that ASEAN members must prepare and deal with the changes that will occur from "Aging society crisis"

การเปลี่ยนแปลงที่เห็นได้อย่างชัดเจนประการหนึ่งของประชากรโลก คือ โครงสร้างอายุของประชากรที่มีจำนวน ผู้สูงอายุเพิ่มมากขึ้น ในขณะที่อัตราการเกิดกลับลดลงเรียกปรากฏการณ์นี้ว่า "สังคมสูงวัย" (Aged society) ซึ่งหลาย ประเทศในโลกได้ก้าวเข้าสู่การเป็นสังคมสูงวัยแล้ว บางประเทศก้าวเข้าสู่สังคมสูงวัยอย่างสมบูรณ์ และมีการคาด การณ์ว่า ประเทศนั้นๆ จะก้าวเข้าสู่สังคมสูงวัยระดับสุดยอดในอนาคตอันใกล้ โดยการเปลี่ยนแปลงสัดส่วนประชากรในกลุ่มอายุต่างๆ นี้ สามารถเป็นตัวชี้วัดความสามารถในการแข่งขัน และศักยภาพทางเศรษฐกิจที่สำคัญของประเทศได้ จึงนับเป็นประเด็น ที่ท้าทายและมีความจำเป็นลำดับต้นๆ ที่ประเทศ 10 ประเทศสมาชิกอาเซียนจะต้องเตรียมความพร้อมและรับมือกับ ความเปลี่ยนแปลงที่จะเกิดจาก "วิกฤตสังคมสูงวัย"
