| Abstract: | This experimental research studied the efficacy of Bacillus subtilis in reducing water pollution and improving water quality for community environmental health. The study utilized an experimental design, comparing a control group against an experimental group treated with Bacillus subtilis in wastewater samples. Ammonia and NH₃ levels were measured at specified intervals. The results showed that Bacillus subtilis effectively reduced water pollution. Notably, the group supplemented with brown sugar as a culture medium achieved a 100% ammonia reduction, dropping from 0.8 mg/L to 0 mg/L within 2–3 days. The bacteria also prevented ammonia levels from increasing, underscoring their efficiency in decomposing waste and controlling pollutants. Post-treatment water showed distinct improvements, with increased clarity and reduced odor, making it suitable for community agriculture. Analysis indicated that utilizing Bacillus subtilis is a low-cost, safe, and environmentally friendly approach, practical for community-level application. By mitigating water pollution health risks, this innovative application serves as an effective wastewater treatment alternative and a sustainable guideline for community environmental management. |
