| Abstract: | The purposes of this research were to: 1). study the current state of strategic management at Thungsong Wittaya School under the Nakhon Si Thammarat Secondary Educational Service Area Office; and 2). propose strategic management guidelines for Thungsong Wittaya School under the Nakhon Si Thammarat Secondary Educational Service Area Office, comprising eight aspects: vision and mission formulation, external environmental analysis, internal environmental analysis, long-term objective setting, alternative strategies development, strategy evaluation and selection, strategy implementation, and strategy evaluation and control. The population of this study consisted of 72 teachers at Thungsong Wittaya School in the academic year 2025. The research instruments included a five-point Likert scale questionnaire with an overall reliability coefficient of 0.77 and a semi-structured interview. The data were analyzed using percentages, means, standard deviations, and content analysis. The findings revealed that the overall strategic management of Thungsong Wittaya School across all eight aspects was at a high level. When considering each aspect, strategy evaluation and control had the highest mean, followed by strategy implementation, alternative strategies development, strategy evaluation and selection, internal environment analysis, long-term objectives setting and vision and mission formulation while external environmental analysis had the lowest mean. Furthermore, the guidelines for strategic management revealed that school administrators emphasized providing opportunities for all sectors to participate in formulating the vision and mission, along with systematically analyzing stakeholders’ expectations. The information obtained was used to determine development directions, set long-term objectives, and develop appropriate strategies. In addition, empirical data were used in decision-making, and operational results were reported transparently. |
