| dc.description.abstract | This research aimed to: 1) study the Nang Rabam Nang Fon dance within the Sor Prathuang-sin Likay Pa troupe, and 2) create a dance performance entitled "Tari Bunga: The Enchantment of Pantai." The study employed a qualitative research approach, utilizing the "Five-Petal Flower Creative Model" as the conceptual framework for artistic creation. Data were collected from three groups of key informants through interviews and observations, evaluated by experts, and analyzed using descriptive analysis. The findings revealed that: 1) The Sor Prathuang-sin Likay Pa troupe previously featured female performers in the Nang Rabam Nang Fon dance as an interlude during the scene where Khaek Daeng arrives on the island. However, its role has recently diminished. The researchers adapted and reinterpreted the original performance concept to elevate it into an independent choreographic work. 2) The choreography integrated the rhythm and identity of Tanyong singing as the core element. The lyrics incorporate moral lessons by comparing feminine virtues and beauty with the characteristics of four types of coastal flowers: the Sea Poison Tree (nocturnal beauty), the Portia Tree (gentleness), the Sea Hibiscus (self-worth), and the Beach Morning Glory (purity). The performance is divided into three sections: presenting the choreographic identity of island women, a symbolic dance utilizing floral props and a traditional shoulder sash (Sabai), and a joyful group dance harmonized with the rhythm of local folk music. This research serves to conserve and elevate cultural heritage by transforming cultural capital into a modern creation that aligns with the current social context, thereby promoting the sustainable transmission of Southern Thai folk performing arts. Overall, the satisfaction evaluation from experts and audiences was at the highest level.. | en_US |
