The Development of Interactive Media on Computing System Principles for Grade 8 Students Integrated with Jigsaw Learning Method

Abstract

The purposes of this research were: 1) to develop interactive media on Computer System Principles for grade 8 students integrated with Jigsaw learning method; 2) to determine the efficiency of the developed interactive media integrated with Jigsaw learning method, 3) to compare learners' learning achievement before and after instruction, and 4) to assess learners' satisfaction toward the developed interactive media integrated with Jigsaw learning method. The sample used in this research consisted of 34 students from grade 8/1 at Rattana Rat Bamrung School during the second semester of the 2025 academic year, obtained by cluster random sampling, using the classroom as the sampling unit via the lottery method. The instruments used in this research included the developed interactive media, Jigsaw learning lesson plans, content and technical quality evaluation forms, a learning achievement test, and a satisfaction assessment form. The statistics used in this research were: percentage, mean, standard deviation, E1/E2 efficiency, and t-test The findings revealed that: 1) the overall quality of the developed interactive media integrated with Jigsaw learning method was at the highest level (x ̅ = 4.74, S.D. = 0.48), with content quality (x ̅ = 4.69, S.D. = 0.47) and technical quality (x ̅ = 4.77, S.D. = 0.48) also rated at the highest levels; 2) the efficiency of the developed interactive media integrated with Jigsaw learning method was 81.02/80.29, which met the established 80/80 criterion; 3) students’ post-test learning achievement was significantly higher than the pre-test at the .05 level (t = 27.78, p < .05); and 4) students’ overall satisfaction toward the developed interactive media integrated with Jigsaw learning method was at the highest level (x ̅ = 4.60, S.D. = 0.71)
