Development of Online Lessons Using Cooperative Learning by Think-pair-share Technique on Safety Use of Information Technology for Grade 5 Students at Anuban Kamphaengsaen School

Abstract

The purposes of this research were 1) to develop the online lessons using cooperative learning by think-pair-share technique on Safety Use of Information Technology of Grade 5 students, 2) to evaluate the quality of the online lessons, 3) to find the effectiveness of the online lessons using cooperative learning by think-pair-share technique, 4) to compare the learning achievement of the students before and after learning with online lessons using cooperative learning by think-pair-share technique, and 5) to find the satisfaction of students on the online lessons using cooperative learning by think-pair-share technique. The target group used in this research was 30 Grade 5 students at Anuban Kamphaengsaen School using purposive sampling technique. The instruments used in this research were the lesson plans, the online lessons, the assessment form of the content, the assessment form of the techniques and methodology, the learning achievement test, and the assessment form of student satisfaction. The data were analyzed using mean, standard deviation, and dependent t–test. The research findings showed that 1) the online lessons included 3 units; communication technology, internet etiquette, and cybercrime, 2) the opinion of the content experts and the technique and methodology experts on the online lessons were at the highest level, 3) the effectiveness of the online lessons using cooperative learning by think-pair-share technique was 88.00/92.78 which was higher than the set criteria, 4) the students who studied with the online lessons using cooperative learning by think-pair-share technique had post-test scores higher than pre-test scores at .05 significance level, and 5) the students' satisfaction with the online lessons using cooperative learning by think-pair-share technique was at the highest level.
