| Abstract: | The purposes of this research were to: 1) develop a web-based instruction using problem-based learning in computational thinking for grade 10 students of thamakavitthayakom school; 2) compare the students' learning achievements before and after learning through the web-based instruction using problem-based learning; and 3) investigate the students' satisfaction towards the web-based instruction using problem-based learning. The sample consisted of 30 grade 10 students from Thamakavittayakhom school, selected via cluster random sampling. The research instruments included lesson plans, web-based instruction using problem-based learning, a learning achievement test, and a student satisfaction questionnaire. The statistics used for data analysis were mean, standard deviation, and a t-test. The research findings revealed that: 1) The web-based instruction using problem-based learning: Lesson 1 Decomposition, Lesson 2 Pattern Recognition, Lesson 3 Abstraction, and Lesson 4 Algorithm Design. The evaluation showed that the web-based instruction had the highest level of content quality, with a mean of (x ̅=4.83, S.D.=0.23), and the highest level of technical quality, with a mean of (x ̅=4.58, S.D.=0.21); 2) The students' post-test learning achievement was significantly higher than their pre-test achievement at the .05 statistical level; and 3) The students' satisfaction with the web-based instruction using problem-based learning was at the highest level, with a mean of (x ̅=4.70, S.D.=0.48). |
