At present, landfilling remains the predominant method of waste management due to its low cost and its capacity to accommodate large volumes of waste. However, landfilling has certain limitations that can contribute to environmental problems. The generation of leachate is one of the issues commonly encountered. This research investigated the use of Titanium Dioxide to treat COD in leachate using a light-catalyzed ultraviolet (UV) process to break down organic matter in leachate from the Nonthaburi Provincial Municipality landfill. The study found that using Titanium Dioxide in combination with a light-catalyzed UV process at a wavelength of 365 nm and a power of 30 watts achieved 14.28% COD removal efficiency in leachate at a jar test speed of 50 rpm, pH 7, and an optimal reaction time of 4 hours. This treatment offers a viable alternative for treating municipal solid waste leachate in the future.en_US
