Abstract: | This study aims to analyze the limitations and develop guidelines for implementing Technology Industrial 4.0 in Industrial Revolution 4.0 for the poultry production line by using a factory in Nakhon Nayok Province as a case study. Although this factory had the necessary capital and production technologies, it was still unable to implement Technology 4. 0, the integration of digital and internet technology, into the manufacturing process. The research was carried out by using observation, in- depth interviews, and numerical data collection from the Live Bird Process, the Slaughtering House Process, and the Cut-Up Process which involved 87 workers. The research findings, derived from both quantitative and qualitative analyses, indicated that the implementation of Technology 4.0 was limited because (1) employees lacked the necessary skills and confidence to operate the Technology 4.0 process, (2) systems and machines were unable to connect to the internet, resulting in a single offline system, and ( 3) there was no operating method for the adoption of Technology 4. 0. As a result, the following rules for utilizing Technology 4. 0 were created: ( 1) Raise staff knowledge levels and modify organizational structure to make it appropriate for utilizing Technology 4.0 (2) Enhance and convert machinery to Technology 4.0-supporting systems by taking capacity and investment into account. According to the study, there was the most opportunity for utilizing Technology 4.0 in the Stunning Process, which was a subprocess of the Slaughtering House Process. (3) Determine to document for learning and transform technology to workers and bulid up changing culture to be Technology 4.0. Following the in-depth interviews with the executives about the established plan, it was revealed that the plan could be implemented and that further support would be provided for the advancement of Technology 4.0 in the Stunning Process. |
