dc.description.abstract | The purpose of this participatory action research were to study community participation for Health Behaviors Improving, to develop a model of community participation for Health Behaviors Improving and to study the effectiveness of the community participation model for Health Behaviors Improving. The participation were 63 stakeholders and The sample group used in the effectiveness study was 29 of Uncontrolled Hypertension Patients. The instruments used in the research were community participation model, duration 8 weeks and collected data by participation questionnaires. self-care behavior questionnaires. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. The data were analyzed using statistical frequency distribution, percentage, mean, standard deviation and Wilcoxon signed rank test. and Content analysis of focus group discussions. The results showed 1) community participation was at a high level 𝑥̅ =4.20 2) The community participation model consists of 4 steps: In the decision-making process there are community forums and focus groups. in practice have to educate exercise home visit and a food contest in the process of receiving results benefit of knowledge have better self-care behaviors in the evaluation process have exercise tracking and follow up to record health care behaviors 3) The results of using the model showed that knowledge, social support, and self-care behavior after using the model was higher than before using the model at statistical significance at 0.01 level. The participation model can be used to solve the problem of changing health behaviors of patients with hypertension who cannot control blood pressure in the community. or other agencies with similar contexts. | en_US |
