dc.description.abstract | The objectives of this article were to propose the operation mechanism and the results of safe food handling model in Watbuapaktha school, Nin Phet Subdistrict, Bang Len District, Nakhon Pathom Province. The study methodology was a qualitative research by extracting the lesson learned from the conducting a project. The research instruments were focus group discussion and in-depth interview. The results found that the important operation mechanism was personnel in school including school director, project responsibility, teachers, students, female cooks and janitor. These was a leader in operating the project which must be action planning, linking roles and responsibilities of each working, and regular project progress monitoring. Moreover, there was connecting external people or agencies into as working group to empowering in work. The external people or agencies were local government organization, community leader, subdistrict health promotion hospital, village health volunteer, parent and agriculturist in community. Important activities were the meeting to establish working group, the establishment of farm youth students, the construction of agricultural plot in school, the linkage with safety agriculturist network, exercise activities and the training of food safety for students, parents and female cooks. Implementation outcomes of a project were four aspects. The mechanism aspect: there was the strong working group and the mechanism for supplying safe ingredients into school. The environment aspect: there was an increase vegetable plot in school. The health behavior aspect: a higher number of school age children have been food all three meals and physical activity. The health aspect: school age children with malnutrition has decreased and the slender body has increasing. | en_US |
