Abstract: The purposes of this research were 1) to study the volunteer spirit characteristics in preventing the spread of COVID-19 among village health volunteers, 2) to study the guidelines for developing the volunteer spirit characteristics in preventing the spread of COVID-19 of village health volunteers. The sample group was village health volunteers Nakhon Pathom Province 385 people were drawn from proportional sampling. Data were analyzed by frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and content analysis. The results of the study of volunteer spirit characteristics in preventing the spread of COVID-1 9 among village health volunteers found that the overall level was at a high level as follows: Performance with sacrifice social responsibility, self-awareness and curiosity, discipline, team work, the aspect of interacting with the network, respect for freedom, communication and public relations, social participation, aspect of human relations, value of self and others, the feeling of freedom in choosing the job that interests them. As for the guidelines for developing the volunteer spirit characteristics of the village health volunteers. Performance with sacrifice should learn to give and share without expecting anything in return. Social responsibility should recognize the importance and change behavior. Self-awareness and curiosity should strive for self-improvement, study to gain more knowledge. Discipline should study the rules regulation and not breaking the rules .Team work conflicts should be reduced without prejudice to colleagues. The aspect of interacting with the network should be activities between villages to exchange health information. Respect for freedom Buddhism principles should be applied along with the work. Communication and public relations technology development and networking should be developed. Social participation should be assertive in taking part in thinking, planning, and making decisions. Human relations behavior should be adjusted appropriately and at the right time. Self-esteem and others should listen to other people's criticism and solve problems in a positive way. The feeling of freedom in choosing the job that interests them should change the idea of new work and give opinions to improve things.
