Abstract: This research aimed to 1) study the level of knowledge and understanding of the people about their participation in the prevention and suppression of corruption. 2) to study the factors that influence people’s knowledge and understanding the participation in preventing and suppressing corruption. This research was used quantitative research. The sample group was used 401 people in NACC Region 7, It was derived from using the Taro Yamane formula and proportion stratified random sampling as distribution by provinces. The research instrument was a questionnaire constructed by the researcher. Data was analyzed with percentage, frequency (f) and Rang (R).The correlation analysis was t-test statistic and One- way ANOVA (F-test). The results were found that. 1. The level of people's knowledge and understanding of participation in the overall prevention and suppression of corruption was moderate. 2. The Knowledge and understanding of participation in the operation the aspect of participation in the benefit Participation in problem finding and the aspect of participation in planning there was a moderate level of cognition. 3. Knowledge and understanding of participation in monitoring and evaluation in participation with problem-solving. There was low level of cognition. 4. The factor of sex, age, marital status, education level, occupation, income, work experience in government, domicile and the period to live in the community, did not different from the level of people’s knowledge and understanding in preventing and suppressing corruption.
