dc.description.abstract | In this research, the physical and optical properties of soda lime borosilicate glass doped with ZrO2 in the formula (50-x)SiO2 : 20B2O3 : 10Na2O : 10CaO : 5BaO : 5Al2O3 xZrO2 (where x is the concentration of ZrO2 = 0.0, 2.0, 4.0, 6.0, 8.0 and 10.0 mol%) were determined by annealing and rapid cooling processes. The study found that the values of density, molar volume and refractive index tended to increase with increasing ZrO2 concentration. In the wavelength range from 300 to 1100 nm, the glass absorption spectrum contains no absorption peaks. Comparing glass samples containing the same concentrations of ZrO2 and PbO dopants. PbO-doped glass exhibited higher density and refractive index than ZrO2-doped glass, while its molar volume decreased. The molar volume of ZrO2-doped glass tends to increase. | en_US |
