The States and Problems of Online Instruction during COVID-19 Pandemic of Biology Student Teachers, Faculty of Science and Technology, Nakhon Pathom Rajabhat University

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to study the states and problems of online instruction during COVID – 19 pandemic of biology student teachers, Faculty of Science and Technology, Nakhon Pathom Rajabhat University. The target group were 119 first to fourth year biology student teachers. The research instrument was a questionnaire about the states and problems in online instruction. The data were analyzed using frequencies, percentages, means, and standard deviations. The results indicated that most of them had experience in online instruction. They studied at home. They used their smartphones to study with Zoom Cloud Meetings program and used their mobile internet connection. Biology student teachers’ problems on online instruction of learners’ health (mean 3.85) and expenditure (mean 3.54) were found at high level. Their medium level of the problems on online instruction consisted of apparatuses (mean 3.05), internet signal (mean 3.11), program (mean 2.95), environment (mean 3.13), teaching and learning (mean 3.10), and learning measurement and assessment (mean 3.11).
