Abstract: In Thailand, there is a high possibility that the government will remove the cannabis from Category V of Thailand’s drug list in Thailand Narcotics Act B.E. 2522, since the cannabis has substantial benefits for treatment of several diseases such as reduced nausea, improvement the appetite, pain relief, cure of the cancer and the cannabis is also the industrial drop that is able to increase in profits for Thai people. Moreover, the cannabis is currently permitted to use for any purposes in several countries such as The Netherlands and the government in some countries have legislated the cannabis law for utilization in specific purposes such as research and development, whereas the cannabis usage in Thailand is still circumscribed and restricted by The Narcotics Act as I mentioned above. According to the physical geography and the climate in Thailand, which are suitable for the agriculture. Consequently, the cannabis has been acknowledged by The Thai government, which this government has already signed a ministerial announcement officially removing the cannabis from Category V of the country’s list of narcotics for the purpose of creating the economic value, medicinal purposes, which also include Thai traditional medicine as Alternative Medical System and monetization also. For this reason, The Thai government is determined to remove the cannabis from Category V of the country’s list of narcotics in order to provide the greatest benefit to Thailand.
