Abstract: The objectives of this article were 1. to study the conservation characteristics of Thai wisdom on traditional herbs of Ban Prasat community, Huai Thap Than District, Sisaket Province, 2. to study the process of adding value of local herbs in Ban Prasat community, Huai Thap Than District, Sisaket Province and 3. to develop traditional herbal products of Ban Prasat Community, Huai Thap Than District, Sisaket Province. This was qualitative research using interview and group discussion method from a sample of 20 people/person, including the herb conservation group administrators, government agencies involved in herbal conservation, the monks, the abbot of Ban Prasat Temple and members of the Rak Samoon Prai group. The results showed that there were 2 types local herbs used in the community: local herbs used for processing; and local herbs used as food or as an ingredient in cooking, which 1) There are 4 methods of conservation of local herbs: A) Raising awareness among people in the community to realize the value B) Planting c) Rehabilitating and improving the wisdom of using herbs to suit the times and bring benefits in daily life and D) Disseminating and exchanging wisdom on using local herbs widely by using various media and methods. 2) The added value creation process is standardized raw material production, study visits, marketing promotions that increase farmers' income, increase sales value and help replace problem crops, and 3) The development of traditional herbal products started from collecting basic information to the herbal bank. The concept was created to have a commitment to work and to bring the product into the certification process to the community product standard. Concepts were evaluated for the development of four products, including bolus to stop drinking and smoking, herbal compress, herbal massage oil and holy herbal oil. The right product development is herbal compress and bolus, and bring products to market through tourists and events organized by various agencies.
