Abstract: | Pressure ulcers are the cause of a number of complications in patients with limited mobility. This experimental research The objectives were to 1) develop an innovative flip-up device in patients who are unable to support themselves; 2) to test the effectiveness of the innovative flip-up device in patients. The questionnaire was asked about the satisfaction of using the innovation of patients and their relatives. and to study the effectiveness of using innovative lumbar support devices in patients The tools used in this research consisted of body flipping device and leg flipping device The tools used for data collection were 1) a general data record form, age, sex, duration of illness, and 2) patient and relative satisfaction assessment form. analyzed by descriptive statistics find personal information Statistical analysis, percentage and mean, and innovation satisfaction data were analyzed using mean and standard deviation statistics. The sample group used to assess the effectiveness of the innovation was selected from the helper/relative of the patient. There were 30 male internal medicine patients at King Mongkut's Hospital, Phetchaburi Province. The results showed that 1) the use of innovative side-turning devices was effective for turning on the side of patients with pressure ulcers 2) the patients and their relatives had Satisfaction with the use of the innovative side-turn assist device in patients was at a very high level. These findings provide the effectiveness of innovative equipment to help turning pressure ulcer patients. Patients and relatives are satisfied with the innovative equipment. Future study should be 1) study on the healthcare providers’ satisfaction to an innovative to help turning patient and 2) increase more samples and longer study periods. |
