The Effects of Using Electronic Book about Coronavirus Disease 2019 among Adult Population

Abstract

This study was a quasi-experimental, one-group pre-posttest design, to compare the average knowledge scores about Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID19) before and after using the electronic book about COVID-19 among adults. Subjects were 130 people who received the COVID19 vaccination at the vaccine center of Nakhon Pathom Rajabhat University. The electronic book about COVID19 was developed by the researcher under the health literacy of COVID19. It has the highest feasibility of the Electronic Book ( x = 4.88, SD = 0.35) and content validity index was 1.0. The data collection tool was the COVID19 Knowledge Test, which shows the content validity was 1.0 and the Cronbach's alpha coefficient was .85. The data were analyzed by frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation and Wilcoxon Signed Ranks test. The results showed that the mean knowledge score about COVID19 after used electronic book about COVID19 was higher than before used electronic book significantly (z = -9.89, P < .001)
