dc.description.abstract | This research was done to test the physical and thermal properties of the Sugarcane Leaves insulators. By using sugarcane leaves mixed with rubber latex in the ratio of 60:40. Study thermal conductivity properties of insulation from sugarcane leaves. It was found that the average density of sugarcane leaves insulator was 662.8497 kg/m3, when compared with existing insulation of commercial insulator, it was found that Insulation from sugarcane leaves is denser. On the other hand, the insulation from sugarcane leaves has a very low water permeability and from the thermal conductivity test of the insulation from sugarcane leaves, it was found that it has a very low thermal conductivity. By comparing the thermal conductivity between sugarcane leaf insulation and existing insulation of commercial insulator such as Fiber cement board, particleboard and gypsum board. As a result, the thermal conductivity of the insulation from sugarcane leaves. It is less than the insulation that is available of commercial insulator. This makes the insulation from sugar cane leaves more heat resistant than other types of insulation, so the development of cane leaf insulation is possible to be practical. | en_US |
