The opinions of community at the reaction to Wood Pellet Plant and Fast-growing Trees Plantation at Non Muang Subdistrict, Si Bun Rueang District, Nong Bua Lam Phu Province

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to study people’ opinions to Wood Pellet Plant and Fast-growing Tree Plantation. The sample was 200 people around Wood Pellet Plant. The research instrument was questionnaires. The statistic was percentage and mean. The results of this study were: 1. The people’ opinions to the impact of the transportation, noise and air pollution (82-87 percent disagreed), while agreed that the impact would occur 12.5-18 percent. 2. Opinions on most of the fast-growing trees planting 90-99 percent agreed, that fast-growing trees are plantation that can make the environment better, have been used for many purposes, Can planted in waste land. And 0.5-10 percent disagreed, because that plants degrades the soil and causes damage to other species.
