The zinc bismuth barium boro-tellurite glasses system doped with Dy2O3. Which varies dysprosium oxide concentration are 0.00, 0.05, 0.10, 0.15, 0.20, and 0.25 mol% of the composition 30TeO2 – (38-x) B2O3 - 10ZnO - 2Bi2O3 – 20BaO - xDy2O3 have been synthesized by conventional melt quenching technique. This research study on physical and optical properties of zinc bismuth barium boro-tellurite glasses system. The results shown that the density increased whereas the molar volume decreased with increasing of Dy2O3 concentrations and the optical absorption spectra of glasses were measured in the wavelength range of 200 – 2,500 nm. The intensity of all absorption bands increased with increasing dysprosium oxide concentration.en_US
