Abstract: The expansion of the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) has led to a rapid transformation in land use within Bang Lamung District. This research article aims to analyze the green space network for sustainable urban planning, using a spatial forecasting case study of Bang Lamung District. The study employs a quantitative research methodology integrated with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Remote Sensing to examine past and present land-use changes. Furthermore, it provides a 10-year future land-use projection utilizing the CA-Markov model. The study indicates that the distribution of green spaces in Bang Lamung District, Chonburi Province, classified by land use in 2024, reveals that the majority of the area consists of community economic green spaces, accounting for 56.73%. These areas are primarily concentrated in Bang Lamung Subdistrict. Meanwhile, natural green spaces represent 15.12% of the total area, also found most densely in Bang Lamung Subdistrict. Projections suggest that without clear urban planning measures, Bang Lamung District is likely to see a 13.25% loss in agricultural and natural green spaces by 2034. Therefore, this research proposes a framework for creating an 'interconnected green space network' by establishing green space per capita standards and implementing the Green Space Ratio (GSR) as a prerequisite for building permits. This ensures that green spaces function as a foundational infrastructure for sustainable smart cities. These recommendations will serve as a vital mechanism for strategic environmental management in the EEC (Eastern Economic Corridor) cities moving forward.
