This article examines the role of the Four Brahmaviharas in the development of social behavior among youth. The Four Brahmaviharas—loving-kindness (metta), compassion (karuna), sympathetic joy (mudita), and equanimity (upekkha)—are presented as an ethical and psychological framework that effectively promotes positive social behavior. Loving-kindness encourages goodwill and acceptance of others, compassion enhances empathy and prosocial behavior, sympathetic joy reduces jealousy and fosters positive relationships, and equanimity supports emotional regulation and rational decision-making. The integration of these principles not only strengthens social skills but also cultivates internal qualities such as self-awareness, emotional control, and interpersonal competence. These outcomes align with the framework of Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) in modern education. The study highlights that developing appropriate social behavior among youth requires collaboration among families, schools, and communities to create supportive environments for moral development. In conclusion, the Four Brahmaviharas provide a systematic and practical approach to fostering youth social behavior. Their integration into educational processes and developmental activities can contribute to the cultivation of ethical, socially responsible and ethically grounded individuals capable of peaceful and sustainable coexistence in society.en_US
