The Approach of Community Participation Promotion in the development of Chedi Bucha Canal Nakhon Pathom Province According to the Master Plan for Sustainable Management and Development of Chedi Bucha Canal, a 3-year period (2021-2023)

Abstract

This research is an action research. Objectives were to study 1. Problems of communities along the Chedi Bucha Canal in 2020 2. Guidelines for community participation in sustainable development of the Chedi Bucha Canal. The main informants were 20 representatives of the community along the Chedi Bucha Canal, Nakhon Pathom Province. The study instrument was a semi-structured interview form. Collect data from the transcript and summary of meeting minutes and analyze the results of operations. Threedimensional data validation methods and data analysis with content analysis. The results showed that 1. The condition of the Chedi Bucha Canal in 2020 found that the water quality problem was very deteriorating in 3 community areas: 1) Wang Ta Ku Sub-district, Mueang District (the canal starting area) 2) Phra Pathom Chedi Sub-district, Mueang District (Area in the middle of the canal) 3) Sisa Thong Subdistrict Nakhon Chai Si District (Area at the end of the canal) 2. There are 4 guidelines for community participation in the sustainable development of the Chedi Bucha Canal: 1) participation in problem solving, 2) participation in development planning, 3) participation in development operations 4) Participation in monitoring and evaluation.
