Characteristics of foreign workers according to the needs of employers : Case studies of enterprises in Nakhon Pathom Province.

Abstract

The objectives of this research were 1) to study the characteristics of foreign workers according to the needs of employers of an enterprise in Nakhon Pathom Province 2) to study recommendations for developing the characteristics of foreign workers to be desired by employers of enterprises in Nakhon Pathom Province. The population was employers of enterprises who submitted labor registrations with the Nakhon Pathom Provincial Employment Office 155 places as a sample group. In this study was used quantitative research. Data analysis using statistics to determine frequency, percentage, standard deviation, and content analysis. The results showed that characteristics of foreign workers that employers want in general are at a high level and in each aspect as follows, social characteristics are at the highest level, character, skills and knowledge characteristics, respectively. Recommendations for developing the characteristics of foreign workers to be desired by employers. Social features should be a person with good health It is not a serious contagious disease or a disease that is disgusted by society, good human relations with employees in the organization and is accepted by colleagues and supervisors. Character characteristics should be a person with good spirits, sacrifice, diligence, patience, generosity and leadership. Professional skills should have the expertise to work in that position, can work immediately, the potential of using technology has been developed, and can plan the work systematically. Knowledge characteristics should develop themself by seeking more new knowledge all the time.
