dc.description.abstract | This article aims to analyze the symbols of sexuality in Little Red Riding Hood tale, written by Charles Perrault. The story was originally composed in 1967, France. The writer’s purpose is to warn the young girls who talk to the strangers should be careful for themselves. If they ignore the warning, they might be dead as Red Riding Hood in Charles Perrault’s tale. Charles Perrault’s Little Red Riding Hood is different from Grimm’s fairy tales; that is to say, it is more realistic than fanciful and symbols of sexuality in the story can be clearly interpreted in both psychology and human’s behavior. Thus, the symbols of sexuality in this tale were analyzed that rely on main characters, clothes, utensils, and environment which related to unconscious mind and human’s sex drive. | en_US |
