The study is survey research to determine problems and obstacles in weight control of the 3rd year nursing students, Rambhai Barni Rajabhat University. The 50 samples were specifically selected from the 3rd year nursing students. The research tool was a questionnaire toward initiation data and problems and obstacles in weight control of nursing students. Data had been collected from October to December 2 0 2 1 . Data was analyzed using descriptive statistics such as frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation. The result showed that, 1. Most of the nursing students were 21 years old with percentage of 72.0 ( x= 2 0 . 8 2 , S.D = 0 . 5 6) ; weight during 40-49 kilograms and 50-59 kilograms with percentage of 44.0 and 28.0 respectively ( x= 55.00, S.D. = 12.39) height during 150-159 centimeters with percentage of 56.0 (x= 160.18, S.D. = 4.70) and exercise one day per week and no exercise with percentage of 34.0 and 32.0 respectively (x= 1.24, S.D. =1.19). 2. The problems and obstacles in weight control of the 3rd year nursing students were the enabling factor (x= 2.95, S.D. = .67), the predisposing factor (x= 2.88, S.D. = .65), and the precipitating factor (x= 2.35, S.D. = .89). The predisposing factor was in moderate level; the 3 highest were believe of food (x= 3.60, S.D. = 1.11), positive attitude to food (x= 2.97, S.D. = .81) and lack of self control (x= 2.93, S.D. = .76) and the lowest was inappropriate of stress management (x= 2.07, S.D. = .89). The precipitating factor was particular nurse professional that was in low level (x= 2.35, S.D. = .89). The enabling factor was in moderate level; family support (x= 3.32, S.D. = .73) and lack of health promoting system support (x= 2.56, S.D. = .81). This may lead to a better understanding of problems and obstacles in weight control among nursing students, and to develop the effective weight-control program. It may be a guideline to change self habits for weight control, prevent obesity and its complication to get well-being and enhance quality of life in later.en_US
