Species diversity of fishes in Lower Mae Klong River at Ratchaburi and Samut Songkhram

Abstract

Species diversity of fishes in Lower Mae Klong River. In this survey, fish specimens were collected by beach seine and dip-net. The 21 species from 37 families of fish resources were found. Cyprinidae was a dominant found 8 types, including Osteochilus vittatus, Labiobarbus siamensis and Puntius partipentazona family in quantity and inferior to Gobiidae Acentrogobius sp., Brachygobius sp. and Stigmatogobius sp. The fish has an average abundance between 664 – 736 fish/Rai. But in the raining season, only one species of Ambassis vachellii had an outstanding amount of 62% of the total fish specimens.
